The ES8109S is one of Panasonic's Vortex™ top-of-the-line series of wet/dry rechargeable shavers. It features an adjustable pivot action head which moves with the contours of your face. The pivoting head rocks up and down and back and forth, ensuring positive contact with the skin; much like the suspension system on a car keeps the car on the road. With the Pivot Action Selector, the amount of pivot action can be adjusted to your preference, giving you maximum comfort and a clean and close shave.

 
Panasonic’s patented Linear motor is one of the fastest razors on the market which means less pulling and irritation while shaving. The Linear motor’s electro-magnetic propulsion system moves the blades back and forth at an amazing speed of 13,000 RPMs. This strong motor provides a constant stream of power, cutting quickly and easily through even the thickest beards. As part of the triple blade shaving system, the center slit blade cuts long and stray hairs, while the two foils surounding the center blade cuts even closer. The inner blades move counter-directionally to the outer blades reducing noise and vibration.
The advanced Nano technology blades are polished with nano particles to create a precisely honed cutting edge. This Vortex shaver comes with blades that are angled at an incredibly sharp 30°, while blade cutting edges of other shavers usually fall within a range of 45° to 90°. This Panasonic innovation cuts the whiskers fast and precise for one-pass shaving.

This shaver has the ability to be fully immersed in water, permitting you to enjoy a clean, close shave in or out of the shower. Many men find that using shaving cream produces a closer shave with little or no irritation, which makes the Vortex a great electric shaver for sensive skin. Once you're done shaving, simply press and hold the on/off switch to engage the Turbo Cleaning mode and rinse under water.

The HydraClean™ Hygienic Cleaning System will automatically and thoroghly clean, dry and charge the shaver so it’s read for the next use. This intelligent, multi-level system allows you to choose from five different modes; clean, charge & dry; clean & dry; charge & dry; dry only or charge only. The drying feature includes a heating element and a fan for a completely dry shaving head, leaving no wetness or moisture behind. The system uses water for the cleansing process instead of alcohol for safe and effective cleaning.

The charging system produces a full charge in just one hour; enough power for about 14 shaves (at 3 minutes per shave). The 5-Minute Quick Charge feature allows you to restore your shaver’s power for one shave in just five minutes. The liquid crystal display includes a ten-stage battery indicator so you always know the battery charge level.
